We have been learning all about China over the past few weeks. We studied ancient China and discovered lots of interesting information about the Great Tomb- we even made our own Terracotta soldiers!
We examined The Great Wall of China and learned some really amazing facts. Did you know that when the workers died while building The Great Wall, their bodies were thrown into the wall? Many thousands of bodies are still buried in the wall today.
We looked at examples of Chinese architecture, such as Pagodas and Ms Long's class did some really cool sketches of their own pagodas.
We celebrated the Chinese New Year of the Rooster by learning all about the 15 day festival and took part in many activities-such as making dragon masks, to mark the occasion. We ended our celebration by having a big Chinese themed party. We practised using our chopsticks to eat noodles and also had fortune cookies and prawn crackers. Yummy!!!
